Jail Ministry
It’s been awhile since we’re talked about the prison ministry, so everyone needs to know that it is alive and well. Since the county prisoners were moved to the new facility, there have been some changes such as new visiting rules with closer supervision of visitors. We do have several members of FUMC who go in a group to do God’s work there, and if you would like to be a part of this very important ministry, here’s how you can go about it.
The first step is to call Bro. Randy Hayes at 456-3319 weekdays during working hours. He is the Chaplain of the prison and will set up a time when you can meet with him. He will get information from you and he will give you the information you need to be able to get on the schedule. They have certain nights when people are allowed to come into the facility for services, and he is the one who will get you into the rotation.
If you have questions about all this, you can talk with Eric Laiche, Hank Harrington, Tim Finn or Chic Carter. They are currently going on a regular schedule and will be happy to have you join them.
